I was reading something totally by accident after the 2023 results came out. An industry website/magazine, Freightwaves maybe, left me with the impression it was less about driver satisfaction than it should be. I tried to find it again, but I did find this. Pages 3-4 cover how they do score it. Maybe someone smarter than me can give us the skinny.

I was always under the impression it had more to do with money spent on advertising. The more a company spends, the higher up the list they go.

If a mega like prime is on a ”best” list, it’s a bad list

I was warned years ago by a CDL school teacher that those "Best Of..." awards are, indeed, bought and paid for. I mentioned 3 different companies whose trucks had those decals on the back. He swore it was nonsense and all 3 of them were a sh--show. I trust it because he never pushed any other companies on me.

Anyone else notice all but two of the companies were in -so easy to run it should be done free- regions?

I looked in to Decker once it was avg pay and I don't think there was layover or deadhead pay; reefer and stepdeck. Did they make the list based on equipment looks? These are all avg. Pay but not a Cascadia carriers
