Tractor insurance ...

    New Owner operator tractor only looking to run under company authority pullin reefer 53 feet rent trailer west to Midwest 3000 miles a week freightliner Cascadia 2016 .. company the one looking to run with them said $800 a month will charge me Liability one . My driving racord clear no accident no tickets .. is $800 normal price or can find my own cheaper one ..
    What you guys think have no idea about the avarag for me this is the first time
    Advice Pls ...

    Call OOIDA, talk to them. Some people use Progressive insurance company also off the top of my head

    As passingthru69 stated, check with OOIDA, Progressive and maybe a truck insurance broker.

    If he is running under someone's authority, he has to be under that company cargo insurance.
    He can shop around only for bobtail insurance

    That's why makes me confused ..
    When I run under company authority
    How I can do insurance for my tractor only
    And who going to insure what I'm pulling .. trailer and load

    Company handles cargo and liability. You pay physical damage and bobtail.

    Alright. If I insure my tractor only
    the company will do like you said cargo and liability .. Wana say I still can do instance for my tractor even if I'm running under they auth

    Yes. You get the physical damage and bobtail. Whether you get them from the carrier you lease onto is up to you.

    You can put insurance on your tractor or get coverage under their authority, that doesn't matter.

    However the cargo insurance is on them, I think by law they have to carry it.
