Have you had a blowout yet?

Just a recap seam, could last a year or 5 minutes. Tread looks about gone anyways, I doubt it would pass an inspection. I'd write it up, then you are kind of covered.
Speedy356, Lonesome, hope not dumb twucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
§ 393.75 Tires.
Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this section, tires shall have a tread groove pattern depth of at least 2⁄32 of an inch when measured in a major tread groove. The measurement shall not be made where tie bars, humps or fillets are located.201 Thanks this. -
I agree. Its just a recap seam. It's normal. If you look close enough, you'll find it on every recap. Its there. You may not notice it, but its there.
-
If it’s under depth get it fixed. Just watch it closely, you see it starting to separate or peel. Get it replaced asap.
-
looks illegal, the other one doesn't look much better.
I wouldn't run them with a lot of weight. -
Looks good to me it’s a recap they all have a seem in the tread also I like to inspect the side of the tread to make sure it is not peeling off. Legal tread depth is 2/32 for all tires except steer and 2/32 to me looks #### near bald.
hope not dumb twucker and Oxbow Thank this. -
Lincoln penny test. Put the penny in the groove with Lincoln's head pointing down. If you see space above his head, the tread has less than 2/32" tread and needs replacing. Test should be done at three(3) different spots around the tire.
hope not dumb twucker and Numb Thank this.
