Truck Driver runs himself over in Davis OK

I had a good friend 30 years ago accidentally kill himself working on his pick up . He forgot to set his emergency brake and didn’t block the wheels as he was changing a universal joint . The truck rolled off the ramp and driveshaft pierced him..

 

Moral of the story , never pre trip , never get out in a rush . And oh yes set the brakes

 

My cousin was crushed to death between the truck and dock when brakes released on slight incline.

 

Ouch

 

Yes it was pretty devastating to his wife and kids. He was only 30 years old. The airport he was delivering to reconfigured the dock area after it happened. His wife ended up suing both the trucking company and the airport and she won. Not sure what the verdict read as it was long ago 1988 or 1989.
