Around $500,000 owed in Work Comp insurance premiums. Plus the $2 million under reported payroll. Payroll taxes with penalties owed.
    OUCH.
Company owner being 84 years old. He won't serve much time, if any, for his transgressions.

The owner old as ####.....he probably forgot to report all of the payroll. For some folks, memory goes with age.

And the first thing investigators will ask is:
“Where TF did all that money go??”
We’re not talking about hundred dollars here and there…
We’re talking literally millions in misplaced payroll!
In addition by misclassifying the deceased driver that gives the company an excuse to try to weasel out of paying out any money to the driver’s family or loved ones!!
(Which I think was the ulterior motive).

    Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

    I believe him.

That guy was a sales rep with an cdl… and that was his first load as a truck driver.
