This is printed on my BOL for a load of liquid HazMat. I'm new to tankers and have no idea what this could mean besides the obvious. Any ideas? Trl has seals on everything. Why not say trailer must be sealed?

Starting to see some reefer shippers that won't let ya go without a lock on the doors .

Note on the BOL that the truck remained locked the entire trip.
Woodys, Blackshack46, RockinChair and 2 others Thank this. -
The proper time and place to ask would have been at the shippers. You could try calling them for clarification.

Toss a padlock onto one of the ladder rungs of your tanker, ergo it's locked. /snark.
You did state that the tanker is sealed everywhere. That's good enough for me.Oldironfan and shatteredsquare Thank this. -
Well if its a load of hazmat, the BOL has to be left on the seat or in the door if your not there. If something goes wrong, how on earth are emergency personnel going to get the BOL if the door is locked. As long as the trailer is sealed and your following regulations, don't worry about it.

Yes, I have to leave the bol as was stated, in the door pocket or on the seat. But I'm still going to lock my truck when I leave.
