...besides. The government is involved. The only fast thing about them is how fast they give out tickets!

Any one finding the various state 511 sites helpful ? I used the Tennessee 511 Tuesday night , trying to thread my way through Nashville construction. It was helpful, though it failed to show that DOT had temporally shut down the southbound I 65 ramp at the 210 ? mile marker . Wondering if traffic radio ? would have given any hint of that temporary shutdown ? If the Ten. DOT put any warning signs I missed them completely.

All you would have heard on the CB was someone playing their favorite song from the stereo, a driver announcing that "he ain't got no panties on" and two drivers telling stupid to shut up...by then it would be too late to find out the exit was closed.

    This was the correct answer.

So. I guess the fact that I get constant info from mine (after weeding through the idiots who abuse the channel) is made null and void?

Good to know. I'll keep mine off so I can't get alternate routes around traffic that other drivers already know and have confirmed work, that car blocking two left lanes on i24 would've been hit (again, with the guy still inside.), and the fact that I needed to be on the left lane on i285 this morning to avoid tangling with officers on the scene of a semi wreck.

    Cool.

All joking and condescending attitudes aside... The CB is like every other source of information these days. It's full of people who abuse it or feel it's their own personal venting space. Yeah, I hear political talks, guys with no panties on and everything else too. Just ignore it.

Or, get yours tuned up a bit and "break 19" the hell out of them. I'm not ashamed to admit that I've used mine to drown out a few idiots who don't know when to shut up.

To me, and this is my own personal opinion that you don't have to agree with at all, it's been worthwhile having. I relay information I feel is important; in return I'll get the same.
