Truck Stop Public Violence - How To Handle It?

Parking at most truck stops is an assault on my senses... should I call the cops?

 

Yes you should be for you get there that way it should be cleaned by the time you arrive.

 

I've never had problems in truckstops minding my own business, just seems to work in this business.

 

Works with most things in life.

 

I agree that if the OP had tried to stop the fight they probably both would have turned on him. The days of knight in shining armor are over. If it's not too bad i'd stay out of it, if it gets bad and weapons become involved call the police.

Even in a boy/girl fight if you try to stop it, there's a better chance of you getting shot than one of those involved.

I got a family that needs me, if people hang out with that kind of people they bring them situations on themself. Of course if I realized a woman was in serious trouble by an attacker or raper I would do all i could to stop the guy. Probably even risk a bullet.

 

Been there done that and still have the bullet, next time some guy is whooping a gal, I am just going to ask if he needs some help. lol

 

Its a case by case basis with me. Based on skimming your account of this incident, I would have stayed out of it.

Sounds like they were in the process of figuring out which one would be dominant (or the team break up).

 

Take a video put it on youtube, probably go viral.

 

Is the battle over? Did I not make it in time?!

If you had read the entire post he also said he comes from a lower middle class background himself, so there was nothing wrong in what he said IMO. Most of know what he was referring to and it's in all races so quit beating that drum. He's asking a legitimate question in my book and it's not an easy situation to be in for many.

At my non driver job about a month ago I got to listen to an idiot yell out the window from the backseat of a cop car while was in cuffs to his girlfriend "Babe I love you" and "I can't believe you're doing this" over and over. Of course that was after he kicked her multiple times and tried to put a lit cigarette out on her. He wasn't black either and is white but he's still trash so that doesn't matter. I looked up his background after this incident and the guy belongs in prison for violence, going armed with intent, causing bodily injury, etc. and has been in trouble with the law since he was 17.

Not sure why you resurrected the thread but if it was to "stir the pot" you may not like the majority of the responses.
