Truck stop showers don't seem so bad

Many times you can get another driver to use their shower credit for you. I've done it numerous times for truck stops I don't have credits for and I have also given my fair share of credits to other drivers needing a shower. The only thing I don't like about Loves is you cannot share your credits with others (unless you know the clerk behind the counter).

 

This Petro had a TV built into the mirror. It had an overhead shower also.

I've used crap showers before and really great showers. There have been a few that after going into the shower, I turned and walked out. I can wait a bit..
Not 7 days though. Was bad enough at the last jobsite, stuck there 4 days, but I had my babywipes and water to clean up.
Got to a small trkstp and I ran all the hot water out of their little water heater. Felt oh so good in the shower.

 

You know the holy trinity for showering on the road is your own soap, towel, and shower shoes. A long as you don't rub up against the shower curtains or walls it's good. I like to stay clean and water is water.

 

I use the ones at the flying j. Some have been good, some ok

 

It takes 30 days for the foot fungus to kick in so don't jump to conclusions!

 

It has been a few years since I shared a shower with ####roaches.

Then again I rarely shower at a tiny beat down independent stop anymore.

I could do without the fake flowers and wicker baskets that seem to catch lots of dust and whisker stubble and never get cleaned.

 

It's a shower, throw on ur flip flops and git r done. Some good, some bad.

 

I would cut my feet off if they touched the floor of a truckstop shower.

 

I stood in front of a TA auto kiosk struggling to feed the machine with cash as 2 drivers with shower bags waited behind me, watching.

Neither offered me a shower credit.

In our TL days I'd stand there and offer drivers standing with bags my shower credits - like I needed 3 of them (!?)

That's another shiitake policy of Loves that annoys me.
