Driver Killed When Big-Rig Flies Off Dallas Bridge, Catches Fire – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth The driver of a tractor-trailer was killed in Allen Tuesday when the rig they were driving collided with another vehicle before flying off an overpass and crashing into the roadway below. Video shared with NBC 5 showed the truck burst into flames as it twisted upside down before hitting the ground. While the investigation into the crash continues, Allen police said it appears the tractor-trailer was northbound on Central Expressway when it collided with another vehicle. The tractor-trailer then drove over the right side of the overpass and caught fire as hit the ground. The driver of the truck, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, was killed in the crash. Police said the driver's identity will be released after the family has been notified.
