I’d definitely Love to see the conversation with the the CDL Tester that “Passed” him. We have the same problem in Canada with people coming into the country. They obtain their CDL the same day their new Passport is handed to them and off they run. We’ve literally had the same thing happen in Saskatchewan. It’s time we start running through these license mills and put these guys in jail where they belong.Rubber duck kw, cuzzin it, Bean Jr. and 2 others Thank this.

Not to mention the dmv employee(s) who are letting this go as well…everyone that has their fingerprints this crap should be paying the price too.

On a side note bc appears fed up they banned a Ontario company from running bc off dashcam footage showing illegal passing on 5a . Maybe more provinces need to follow suit and the message will get out.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

I’m certain this kid wouldn’t have gotten this sentence if his family was of means and could hire top shelf attorneys, and knew not to cooperate with investigators.
the guy who caused the 16 fatality bus accident in Canada got 8 years if I rememberBean Jr. Thanks this. -
Isn't there a pretty well known quote about ignorance of the law not being an excuse or something? I don't think I'd rest my case on "well I didn't know any better" while on trial for 4 counts of vehicular manslaughter or homicide, but what do I know.drvrtech77 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

I know multiple people who've gone over the rockies with a lot more weight than he had on and no "training" outside of what they taught themselves and they haven't killed 4 people. One of those is a kid who just turned 21 and I'm sure he was running 100k lbs down the hill. Ignorance is not an excuse.God prefers Diesels and drvrtech77 Thank this.

Yeah there is a famous quote. In most cases I'd agree but like I've said repeatedly, I'm convinced that his inexperience, lack of training and knowledge had a hand in this. Everyone says what he should have done, and a driver more experienced would have made the decision to take the runaway ramp or take himself out. I want to make it clear again I'm not absolving him of guilt. Sometimes mistakes will warrant punishments and I'm ok with that, I just don't understand why he's taking all the heat. It is what it is though.Bean Jr. Thanks this.
