Gotta do wat u gotta do. I bet if they put a camera under some of them can trucks down in atlanta or up in chicago u would see some crazy stuff. Mostly every component being held together by baling wire

I once broke a front spring, snapped right at the shim, behind the axle. South side of Chicago, in the middle of a winter night. I Zip tied and duct taped it. It held up, being the front leaf was secure in the hanger, and bolted good at u bolts . I carefully ran 120 miles, to the WS Dealer. I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do, but I did it.
