Oh you're right, I didn't notice that til I saw the video again. They definitely should have removed themselves from the path of the road way as quickly as possible, maybe even staged themselves back aways up to road and put on their lights to signal a crash ahead. Maybe their crash had just happened moments beforehand though as well.

Considering it's the same two cops cars we see seconds earlier it definitely just happened. Another 5 or 10 seconds and there's a good chance one of the cops would have been standing in his path.

40 was to fast before he hit the whiteout condition s. Heck having the cruisers lights in front of you and losing those would had me on the brakes down to 15 mph

It’s not the conditions that scare me it’s the idiots behind me that fly through these conditions

i often wonder how many drivers in these situations wouldnt be there if they werent on elogs, i kno ive ended up in blizzards that i wouldv missed if i couldv just drove my route in a different way, but what do i kno im just an outlaw trucker lol and lets not get started on an elog debate, for me personally they arent helping me get sleep, but thats me, maybe some drivers sleep better when theyr told when to, edit again: dont take this as another complaint just the way it is, all complete idiotic rubbish passed down from our masters.

Elogs or paper, brother, he wasn't being safe period. Whatever he does now on Elogs is exactly what he would have done on paper.

x1Heavy, ZVar, bigguns and 3 others Thank this.
