Trucker Stabbed By Another

Time to start doing phyc evals on new drivers...some dont seem to deal well with stress and lack problem solving skills .

 

I am guessing trainer student. Some one became beligerant and was stabbed for it. We will be reading about this again in the future.

 

Then again, some just plumb need killin. lol

 

Why was the "victim" stabbed? Just some guy minding his own business? or perhaps they deserved it...

 

"Deserve's got nuthin' to do with it!"

 

Trainers were going to start demanding hazard pay !!

 

I dunno. I trained two guys. I was ready to stab the first one by the time I finally got him off my truck. He kept swerving and slamming on the brakes whenever animals ran out in front of him while I was in the bunk. I had told him many times before that he should let off the gas and maintain his lane, that's what the deer guard is for, but the instinct to swerve is pretty strong I guess.

I wouldn't have trained the second guy except he was a friend of mine from my last office job.

I shouldn't have been training anyone, by the way. I didn't have enough experience. Funny thing is, I didn't have enough experience to know that I didn't have enough experience to be training. Now I do.

Thankfully, neither of those two is driving any more, as far as I know. And I'll never train again. I can't stand running teams. I'd rather go back to working in a cubicle.
