It sucks when you let your hopes get built up only to have them crash down around you later. I find it best to hope for the worst and that way I'm rarely disappointed. But sometimes you just have to push it. Push it real good............

    Divorce laws...

I met an older homeless man this morning who told me his wife just cleaned his clock...and got $240,000.000 from him in divorce settlement...now he's a homeless drifter who wanted to ride with me...instead I just gave him $2.00....

In this day in age, where more women graduate college then men, and where women no longer stay home for decades looking after the kids...I think such lopsided settlements should end...

Expecially if the couple has no kids or even one...I think the 'burden' of care is equal on both Father and Mother...(refereing to couples that are actually married)...

I think such lopsided laws have much a womans handwriting on them...

    2. The conflict in Afganistan against the Taliban...

I don't think it's a conflict that will ever end...you can never totally squelch a religious order...

It would be like China coming over here and declaring a conflict against all Southern Baptist...if Chinese troops went around destroying all Southern Baptized...they would grow in numbers...and other groups would join them...Pentecostals, Methodist ect ect...they would all kind of unite...

The same thing with the Taliban...it's like trying to squelch out a religion...it's just not going to happen...

    3. The Bank of America just slashed 30,000 jobs...more unemployed...
Also I learned 'Lending' is what stimulates economic growth...

I've always known it takes money to make money...People start businesses because their able to 'borrow' the money from their bank...
Very few have or risk $40,000 to a million of their own money to start a business...

So it's the banks money they're really playing with, not their own...very interesting...Even if their business fails...in the end it's the bank that looses...since it was their money to begin with...unless business is paid for in full...

It's hard for low income people to get loans, thus it's hard for low income people to start prosperious businesses...If you only earn $15,000 a year...the bank will not loan you 100 gran to start a lawn mower business...

    4. And finally...the taxi cab I was riding in this morning got pulled over by the police for speeding...it was funny...cause we were just talking about 'unmarked' police cars pulling over aggressive drivers...and he got pulled over by a 'marked' patrol car...and the officer said 'Did you not notice my marked car behind you for the last 4 miles?'....

But the taxi got let go with a condescending lecture and no ticket...

    Anyways...back soon...

    Hello...not much going on tonight...

First nights back out always feel weird...there's an adjustment period emotionally...

But I will say this...I'm very disappointed in the Subway resturant located at the Oasis Center in Robertsdale, AL...very much so...

there was a service member (Army or Marines) standing in line...

And I suggested they give him a meal on the house...they were in uniform, and the Subway staff snarked at the idea, and got wise...

And made the service member pay for his meal...so i offered to pay, and they graciously declined....

    Such low class induvisuals...
This service member has probably lost friends in conflicts around the world, and these Subway employees were totally incensitive to what he sacrifices for them, and or could in the future...including loosing his life or becoming disabled...and they couldn't absorb a $6.00 meal for him?

I'm not going to allow them to get away with that...
I can't believe how much this society has changed just from 20 years ago...the level of respect is just gone...

A rule I have concerning military people in uniform...

    1. I never allow one to stand behind me in line, while in uniform...the least I can do is tip my hat to them for doing what they do for me...(or for the government) but it's not their fault they're used the way they are...

And I always publicly thank them for serving...and or will pay for their meals when i can....it's the least i can do....

Anys...Subway sandwich...I'm disappointed in you for being so selfish and insensitive to this service man...one of the times I really wish I had thought to take a photo...
It would give it so much more strength...

That's a nice thing for you to do and I know they appreciate it. I try to do the same when I can but it's never enough you know? It always make me feel a little ashamed that I got sent home while my brothers and sisters were left to fight. One of my brothers in arms lost his right eye and ear to a roadside bomb, the way he was rushed through Walter Reed and the level of care he's gotten since is just embarrassing. You keep doing what you're doing though, it makes a difference and sets a good example to others on how to respect our servicemen and women. I'm proud of you.

I thank you and your comrads in arms for doing what you did and are still doing...and I've got more to add later...

And I thank you, U4EA, and Bumpy for all checking in tonight...(I see you out there Bumby)...

This is the strangest unlikeliest group of internet friendships on here...
One the surface we probably all seem or appear so different...but on the inside...there's something we all have in common....

Anyhow...goodnight and thanks for gathering around the fire place with me tonight...

Now i'm going to retreat into me room within our palace...

If you need anything...just ask one of thy servants...egor...will be glad to look after your needs...

And I'll be upstairs in my bed....my big gigantic bed...

There's a storm brewing somewhere out there...be careful everyone...

(if you get lonely just come up to my room...I have coffee and other edibles...)...goodnight...

No, that's not what I mean...(for those who want to twist things)

    Good gracious...can't a guy just be friendly...(smile)....

(you know I always gotta end with a little humor..)

After a several weeks of deep thought and ponderance, I have arrived at the Hollywood character I believe you to be most compatible. This was much, much more difficult than I initially imagined. You are a very complex creature capable of wearing several different "hats", as it were, and so, must be matched accordingly. And so, without further ado, I present to you, your very own Hollywood persona. None other than, the talented, incomprobable

    Christopher Lee
    Allow me to explain.......

Your penchant for talent and expression remind me of his role as Post-impressionist painter Georges Pierre-Seurat, in the 1952 film Moulin Rouge.

Your style and grace. The apparent ease with which you convey both strength and romanticism. The way you hypnotize your captive audience. The way you allow yourself to be both vivacious and vunerable, leads me to liken you to his most famous role as Count Dracula, in the 1958 film Dracula
    [IMG]
Lets be honest here. If ever you wanted someone to bite your neck, it would be him.

And finally, just because I like him so, your cunning and love of all things underworld, allows you to grab your staff and take your rightful place as Saruman the White from Lord of the Rings
    [IMG]

And there you have it my Underworld Prince. Enjoy.
