1. How come when I pull up into a shipper...and do something 'wrong'...the guard, the rent a cop, comes running out barking orders...suddenly it's like the boot camp academy...all rules must be abhered to to the 'T'....like 'An Officer and a Gentleman' movie...
But then right after I get done getting barked at...
Some old timer will pull in after me, and do everything I was told not to do, and they and the guard will practically break bread together and have communion...
It seems some people out here just enjoy exerting their authority over me, it's like they get 'high' off of it or something...
2. Retirement age...
Their talking about moving retirenment age up to 68...
Now come on...hardly no one lives to 65 as it is (at least men don't)...
Who in the heck will still be fit enough to work full time at 68?
Most people I know these days, that are in their 20's, 30's and 40's are already suffering from this or that, bad back, knees, diabetes ect ect...
Expecially if you work in the trades...your body wears out a lot quicker...and with jobs vanishing and going over seas...how are people in their late 50's or 60's suppose to find work??
No one will hire them??
People only like to hire the young, the sexy, and the nieve...
I mean what's a trucker suppose to do, who's been driving for 30-40 years, and has no other marketable skill?
68 is ridiculious...and that basically means most of us are paying into the social security tax, and will never use or benifit from it...that's fraud man...fraud...
Anyways...gotta get this load back...I'll chime in a bit later...by
Trucking can be like a bad marriage...

I'm in a mood to go buy stuff I don't need...like a shiny new Laptop computer...moods like this can be hazardious to your wallet...
Now, I do not need a new lap top computer...but I sorta want one...why?
Probablly because I can't afford a new car...but I can afford a new lap top computer...there by making myself feel better...
But the one I have works just fine...I need justification...maybe I should accidently drop it or something...then I have no choice but to get a new one....nah...
Cause if I get a new lap top...then I'll want to get a new camera to go with it...
Let's see here...
lap top...$500.00
camera...$350.00
And if I get a camera I'll want a new printer/scanner to go with it...
Ok, we're talking well over a $1000.00 now...just do to a mood....
Not good...I need to stay away from the stores today...but I do want to buy something today, to make myself feel better...maybe a new cell phone?...I don't know...
Or maybe I'll just go buy a few movies and have a beer...
-
Ok, you know your a country boy if the below picture of the tire turns you on, and get's you excited and aroused...
This would be like pornography...to some of the rough country boy type guys i use to know....
Anyways...speaking of tire...after all the above talk about buying a computer...in the end I was forced to spend my money on a tire for my vehicle, which had been flat for weeks...cost around $100.00...with the promo the sales person sold me...
So in the end, I bought what I had to, not what I wanted to.
Now all I need is some movies to watch...
And I think I may start emailing some of these posts to different locals...I mean why not...like different publications, Hollywood studios...the grand ol Opry...Dolly wood...
Britian....Japan....Leonardo DiCaprio....Time Life magazine...
I got some homework to do...and another beer to drink...later... -
Why I won't join Facebook...
Cause it's just to big, and I'm to much of a 'freak'...and I don't need nor want that kind of notiriaty...not just yet...
Even now...seems like a few times a week, some guy comes up to me and asks 'Say, aren't you that guy who use to always talk on the radio?'...
(I use to have a base station)
Not to mention I talked non stop on regular truck radio...once had a driver follow me, more staulk me, for miles...it was actually kind of scary...like Stephen Kings movie 'Maximum over drive...But I lost him or it, at a red light...while continuing to babble..
If I got on Facebook, I would post photos, and videos that would just get me way to much attention...and then people from all around the country would be saying...'Say...isn't that such and such'....
And then I couldn't walk down the street anymore...it would be like fame, without the money to go with it...
Fame, without money, can become an inconvience...
So I'd rather stay low key, and just participate in a few forums here and there...each kinda allows me to display different sides of myself or interest...
When I want to talk truck stuff...I come here...cause no one else can remotely even relate to what truckers go through...most think it's an easy glamorious job...so when you complain...they look at you like 'What are you complaining about...how hard could it be to drive all day'...
Oh, if only they knew...
Plus...Facebook is just to big...even companies have Facebook pages, and anyone can find you, including bill collecters...ect ect...
Now I suppose I could do the Facebook thing...but it would have to be under a 'alias'...
But still, I was on a site like that once...and had my photos floating around the planet...japan...Australia...I was everywhere...in a way it was fun...but one day I just ended all of it...
Facebook, me?...I don't know...something just tells me to stay away from that site... -
I sold out...................
I used to make fun of people on those social networking sites and swore I would never join myspace, Facebook, etc......then one of my best friends growing up was deployed to Iraq in Oct. 2009, and found out Facebook was the best means to contact him while in Iraq; I figured what the hell, I won't request any friends, I'll keep my profile's privacy settings high.......
So I joined........
The only problem is, when you join, Facebook does a #### good job of "reconnecting" you with old friends, schoolmates and everything in between, from the "basic info" about yourself that you must fill in when registering for the site.
So within 24 hours I had 65 friend requests from some random people....people I havent seen nor thought about since kindergarden on, co-workers from different jobs, ex girlfriends that remained civil, family.
After a week I went from having zero friend to almost 200.......
People are pretty stupid though.......they post anything and everything about there life, locations, relationship problems....EVERYTHING! I havent physically seen/bumped into/talked too these people in over a decade, yet I could tell you where they work, who their dating, family problems - etc.....
It's crazy stuff.........I hardly use it anymore; just got bored of it. -
And I feed off contriversy...like Pac did...and I would just blow up all over the place...
Unless I did it under a 'alias'...like a alter ego or something...
I just don't know...
Plus, I don't like the fact that theirs no age restriction on there...
All those sites should be 18 and above....and have a seperate version for minors...
I don't like sites that mix minors and adults together...it's not safe, and can create deception and confusion...
But hey...whatever works for people...and right now Facebook just doesn't work for me....
But there are other less popular social sites I could consider joining...
Or I could just start a personal web page...and lead people to it...
I've learned it's not how many people you know that matters...it's who you know...the select few that can actually make a difference in your life...
Gotta hit the road...will check in again after a few hours...later... -
This security guard raised his voice at me...this no IQ security guard...and because of him I'm late....what a dork....
And then to humiliate me...he's like
:smt077 'I've got to climb inside your truck and visualy inspect the interior'...
And yes, this guy, this thing, was old and wrinkly...kinda looked like Mr Rogers...
pictures like this make President
Bush nervious..
I felt like beating him up...I really did...they raised their voice at me when I questioned their logic...then they climbed inside my truck to 'inspect the interior'...
Ok, I felt totally violated...when they were inside of truck, it was like they were inside of me...yuk...I'm suprised he didn't start smoking after words...
I mean if I must have someone climb up into this truck, violate my space and all, why does it have to be some old wrinkled prune?? gross...
Well, I guess they got the better of me this time, and came out on top...
And it's only Monday...good grief... -
I never knew how easy it was to earn between $2.00-$10.00 a mile, as a owner operater...
I found out today how...and it's like 'Duh...why didn't I think of that'...
A freind of the guy I work for earned a little under $30,000 last month...legitamitly...while driving a truck...doing what you and I do...only smarter...wow...
Smarter not harder...
I will share it with EA4U, if he want's to know...and he can share it with whomever...
But information like that is priviledged....so why should I share it with those who don't even like me??
Like I said earlier...it's not how many people you know, it's who you know, that gets you ahead in life...
People judge me cause they think I'm 'weird'....so let them stay dead broke....could care less...
Me, I don't hold grudges like that...I could careless how someone looks, if they've prooven to be a freindly careing soul...
And I never let other people tell me who to like and not like...never...
People who allow others to influence who they like or don't like, don't have a spine...
I like who I want....
Beautiful gifts comes in strange packages...
All I can say is small minded people miss out on a lot...
Now back to the $30,000 in one month thing...
So your first question is 'Well why don't you do it if it's that easy?'...
1. It's not easy or less easy than any other kind of driving...and involves a lot of NE driving...that means snow and tolls and traffic....
2. At this juncture in my life...I'm one conflict away from going off
a. at a shipper
b. at a consinee
c. Another driver
That I don't know if my nerves could handle all that NE, bad weather, toll road, no place to park, type of driving anymore...even for good money...
You all think I'm kidding about 'trucking can be like a bad marriage'...
I truly am burned out...and as such...just don't know if I have it in me anymore...to go back over the road...expecially in the winter....
Some of you guys don't seem to mind being alone...it's like you like it...all you do is go to bed anyways after you park...
You don't talk to anyone or anything...you just dive into your bunk and vanish....
But because of your bigotry and bias...nothing I say can help you....so stay broke than...
But EA4U...I will tell you...and you can tell whomever...and it's really not that hard...most know...but just don't share...
I choose to share...but yet I'm bad...
Like I said...stay broke...and continue to hate on me...could care less...
I wish I were still in the game, and hungry for this trucking stuff...I really wish I were....I wish I had a good adviser when i first started out...a mentor...but never did...as such, squandered a lot of opportunity when I did have the zeal...
A high reving engine goes no where...unless in gear...
Energy and zeal are wasted...unless tied to a plan, or a rod, or crankshaft....
All it does is burn energy, while getting no where...a lot of drivers do that...spend their lives burning energy, while getting no where...cause no one will help them out...
And because of their quirky prejudices, it keeps many from talking to those who can...who can help them out...but heaven forbid...'Oh I can't talk to that guy, cause well their not like me'....
Than stay broke....could care less...
Later... -
You do not have to respond to this...you are 'weird' like me, and magical...
Your spirit and soul is of a different realm...not bound by the usual dimensions of the human mind...
You are beyond 'man'...but stuck in the body your in for now...
Your growth beyond genetics, is occuring....
Be bound, only by principles of love and fairness... -
First off...to you drivers who don't have enough courtesy to use your blinkers...go pound sound...
And to you drivers who risk the lives of other drivers and the public, by trying to pass on two lane roads where visibility is limited...go pound sound...
It's one thing if you want take chances with your own life...it's another when your reckless behavior or decisions endagers my life, and that of the public...
Your not needed out here on the road...and are ticking time bombs waiting to hurt, injure or kill someone with your reckless, driving...
It's only a matter of time before your one of your reckless decisions to pass on a two way highway, injures someone...or your decision to speed through a truck stop or construction zone, causes someone to die...or your decision to roll into a rest area doing 60 mph runs over someones pet or another driver...your nothing more than a ticking time bomb of destruction...
And with the advent of cell phone cameras and or Dash cams...don't be shocked if your wild, reckless antics are soon caught on film and sent into your company or DOT for further review...
I mean, say what you want about me...but one thing I am is 'safe'...
And respectful of others around me while i'm driving...
At times I may be reckless with my own life, while alone and all by myself...but am never...I repeat...never reckless with other peoples lives...whom I value like Gold..
For although people spit on me, in various ways, throughout the course of a day...I still value their lives, your life, like gold...and would never jepordize anyones safety by trying to pass on a narrow road without proper clearance...as was done to me today by 4 or 5 renagade drivers...who were in a hurry to get no where...
Again...ticking time bombs...accidents waiting to occur...it will catch up with you one day...and I just hope no innocent people are involved when it does happen or occur...
And to those of reasoned minds and tempuremant...
Slow down and be safe when the situation calls for such...don't be in such a rush to deliver 'Captain Crunch cereal'....it's not that big of a deal...
Safety first...always...as was emphasized by your trainer...never forget that...safety first...Last edited: Nov 15, 2010
