Cheap? None of those charges look legit. Yeah you have to cover most of that stuff as a leased op but $2700 !!!! a year for IRP? What state? That's double what it cost me in TN and it takes about 20 minutes to fill out the form and DIY. I was paying $35 a month for my bobtail policy. No way it should be anywhere near $125 a week!! OCC/ACC $100k policy is about $140 a month from OOIDA. 2290 is a $550 annual fee + $10 and 15 minutes of your time to file online or you can mail it in for the cost of a stamp.

While that is True hes leasing onto a company.. That's the benefits of leasing to a carrier vs own numbers Everything is so much cheaper. Who ever that carrier is they have everything marked up. Even when i paid my own ELD fee it was only $25 a month..

$2700/year for IRP sounds about right. I pay $1680 for IRP plates and another grand for ifta filing seems right for 1 truck

$125/week for bobtail is outrageous. I could see if that was quarterly

Facing driver Dash cams I put tape over it at my last carrier. As for the few for the ELD I'm paying slightly more monthly with the Carrier I'm signed on with so that price isn't bad. I'd say keep asking important questions regarding their rates and freight shipped. I find a lot of these carriers that o/o lease onto try to act as if they own you. Lately my biggest issue is dispatch not giving me 25 hr notice of the next destination. They say they're going through a system change and in the New Year everything will be available on the ELD because right now they're replying on a basic text message back n forth which isn't professional imo.

You know - by ancestral right, I could wear a kilt. Full on Son Of Arthur . . . "Freedom".

By birth, I could throw on the grass skirt and facial tattoos and haka your rear end into submission in the parking lot.

However - by way of legal citizenship, you'll find me with a wife beater and an American flag, inviting you to sample my smoked brisket. :)
