Can anyone tell me if the Twin Span bridge on I-10 over Lake Ponchatrain is still restricted? If so, how about US-11?
Twin Span Bridge? New Orleans?

I can't tell you either way, I aint been there in a while.....but I remember a truck restriction on US-11 when I ran NOLA before Katrina..........
PITA.......I know........but I would go the way I know is clear/unrestricted and not have to backtrack. -
Just talked to a friend of mine that lives in New Orleans and he drives a truck locally and he said the only restrictions are 80,000 lbs and 12 foot wide. He said the temporary restrictions were removed.
REDD Thanks this. -
Drove across other day the little truck on my gps was way out in the water on the screen lol where the new bridge was built

I-10 is complete on the east bound side and work was still being done on the west bound side the last time I went through about 3 weeks ago. They had them portable scales out before but I didn't notice if they were still there. The temporary bridge was gone. It's an awesome bridge. Hwy 11 is restricted between I-10 and the north shore.

I thought they were gonna drop the 80k deal when they opened the new bridge.
That's BS to build a bridge thats only good for 80k
HELL IT TOOK THEM 5 YEARS TO BUILD IT
Coon is the 80k the real deal?
Thanks -

The weigh scale is long gone, but both sides are not complete quite yet.
