Awesome... For that money I'll be a Union man. That's why I am asking because I'm in Cali, in North Bay, which generally has the highest rates for Unions. I must be reading something wrong. o_O

Not to be a jerk, but...if you can't be bothered to read through a contract, you're exactly the kind of employee companies love.

~$42 when pulling doubles, 94 or 96 CPM. Even more if you team.

I made 120, home every day, and I had an obnoxiously lazy run from April until November.

I will retire from here. I love it.

Yea, not going to read 200 pages of a contract from another state just to get an idea of how much unions pay. All I wanted to know was about how much a year I can make to see if I want to keep researching jobs here. I read what I could find from what I think is my local but it was confusing and I am not even sure it's correct. I also don't know if everything is Teamsters Union or if some trucking jobs have other Unions. I am more then happy to go Union if that's where the money is at.

I have read UPS sucks to work for at first but are worth sticking it out for the long term. Are they Teamsters or do they have their own union?

The early going can be rough. No sugar coating that. Teaming will help keep you working if it's available.

We are Teamsters, but have our own pension and benefits package.

If you're serious, where are you located? I can't guarantee results, but I WILL look into it for you.

Tooele UT It's about 45 minutes south of SLC.

On the UPS website there wasn't any truck driver jobs open.

I delivered to UPS in San Jose and would talk to the driver manager there. Apparently for safety they'd want someone out there during diesel delivery and he'd need to get the paperwork. At that time and location you had to go from seasonal wherehouse to wherehouse full time then delivery driver before they would train you to drive class A for them. They kept it all internal. The DM was always complaining about how he couldn't find drivers to work OT. He said they made too much so they didn't need the extra. I always thought that was funny. I love OT. If I could of taken the pay cut for awhile back then I'd of gone for it and be making the big money now.
