It means just what it says. Drive 10k dispatched miles (the miles on your dispatch earnings statement macro).
That’s b.s., however. If new drivers are at .38, then anyone below that should be bumped to at least that.

May doesn’t give two squats about retaining drivers. Their business model is no different than other large fleets, which is the same as a fast food joint. Hire, train, repeat.
I do think some of the terminal managers and, definitely, some of the DMs like to retain their best drivers, but at the end of the day they can only do so much on their own.smokey12 Thanks this. -
I did speak with my DM today about it, and said pretty much the same as you. "This is bs, why are new drivers starting .03cpm higher than I am.. etc" She said she would see what she can do, but like you said, she can only do so much.

If you run out of Pensacola, or Lebanon (TN), Rob (terminal manager at both terminals) can get it done. He has quite a bit of pull.Trucker Jon Thanks this.

This is just flat out wrong. It's not right at all to sneak in raises for new people ( like.we are not going yo find out) when you have already been out in Wyoming sliding around on ice for a few years..treating people right does not seem to matter, it's all about their bottom dollar amd ethically wrong.Trucker Jon and Frank Speak Thank this.

May corporate doesn’t care. The object is to treat your particular terminal manager and DM right and give them a reason to reciprocate. That’s how I did well over there.
If you can’t get that to work for you, time to move on because May the company is never going to give 2 squats. Think about it, May the company doesn’t know you from Adam. They’re too big to know anyone. LolTrucker Jon and smokey12 Thank this. -
" drivers are a dime a dozen..."
That's what Danielle who works in the payroll department at the Brooks headquarters told me 7 years ago when I quit and moved on to another company because they would not give me a $0.02 per mile raise LOL.
So, what she said to me at that time appears to be the mindset from those that run the place. Which is unfortunate because in many regards I liked working there, at the time anyways.
smokey12 Thanks this. -
Yes yall are right. It repeatedly seems like a place to get experience and move on. Sad thing is it could be a place to stay long term but as stated earlier It's not in their business plan. Churning through new drivers, lowering hiring standards, and keeping that pay down seems to be their goal. You get what you pay for....

How is the home time doing regional runs?

The only regional they have is western 11 if you live out west...pretty sure they get home every 7 to 10 days
Frank Speak Thanks this.
