He's just one of those few that are so happy they have to come tell everybody else how bad they have it. If that's happiness, then I don't want it. Notice these happy type people never say where they are working that makes them so happy? If it was that good I"d be telling everyone about it.

Oh my, "some form of artificial happiness and security" you just proved to me you are very unhappy dj. Hey frog I work for a small trucking company in North Carolina, hope that is enough info to put your tiny mind at ease. I am very happy and no stress now that I am away from usa truck. I will say it again, I believe dj or frog or maybe even both of them work in Van Buren. People my point here is to make sure you check usa out before going with them, if someone promises you something make sure you get their name and title, you will need it when they screw you over. ( not that it will matter by then anyway) Good Luck drivers and stay safe.

In my opinion, USA is a place to start, and it could be worse. If USA ever needs help recruiting people, have prospective drivers talk to CR England drivers, I did and felt suddenly very fond of my APU and inverter equipped truck, 2.5k mile weeks, and never having issues getting home. Just my experience thus far 7 months in.

I do have grievances and they do have a way of piling up. But nearly all the big things get addressed on my behalf and favor. I wouldn't #### about something like that. No point in it.

Last week I had a few free hours and a Thermo-King dealer was there..... my FM put me in their door. It was never right. Tomorrow I stop by Vandy for another stab at it. Ya couldn't ask for more. That is just the latest goings on. USA has done a lot more than this.

I am on a fixed base pay so I cannot address miles but I myself pushed over 2900 last week and I already have almost 1500 today for this week. Maybe after I get off fixed pay they may begin cutting my miles. But folks, I am staying busy. I am new. 2900 is busy for most people.

Before signing up with USA I visited truck stops around my area and spoke with drivers. My youngest son is a driver. He wasn't exactly keen on USA but said there are worse. I read tons of stuff. Here are universal truths I found:

Crappy trailers..... USA has 'em. In the bunches. However, I have been to Apex in Jeffersonville, IN (twice) to pick up rebuilt units and they are in top shape when gotten. I am using a 52. It won't stop but it tracks better than some 59's I've had. LOL

USA and online opinion states USA is anywhere from 70 to 85% drop and hook. I am finding about 60%. My son says if you get 50% you should be thankful. Sometimes you may have to ride 100 miles to an mt.

Pay is moderate to slightly low.

    APU's and power converters. Yeehaw!

Automatics. Kinda yuck.... gag me with a plumbers snake. About 55% and decreasing.

Driver turnover 70 to 120%. I'd say 70% is probably the closer. After my first tractor had fits a quitter left me his truck. Thanks.

The greatest universal........ Your FM means everything. Establish who you are, what you can do and willing to do. Reciprocation follows.

That 2 cents didn't last lo

Sounds like a paid heckler from SWIFT to me. The only post he makes is USA TRUCK. We must have cut him loose and this is his way of expressing his unhappiness with the results.

Sorry to disappoint you frog but was not cut loose, I called my fm told him I had enough and asked him where I could take the tractor to. By that time I had another job lined up. I gave usa every chance, could not take the bull@@@@ anymore. I even called my fm a @@@@@@@ liar once and did not get fired because he knew I caught him in a lie, he said to me sorry you can not prove that because it was over the phone and not the qual com lol. So you newbies remember to do all communications through the qual com to cover your butts. Sorry DG for calling you DJ my bad. lol. Hey frog I could not be more happier now, less stress, out 4-6 days then home for 2 full days and making better money. Bet you can not beat that little fella !!!!!

beeznduck as you get a little older and mature some you will find out most people don't really care what you make or wont wanna hear you bragging about it.You couldn't possibly know what anyone on here makes unless you have seen their checks.I make a good living as does my wife I don't go up to my neighbor and say he he I make more than you its really immature.Every ones situations are different some need to make more than others ,some have wives that work some don't.Me personally I could take my 6 years experience and go anywhere I want and make more if that's what I needed to do.I am putting a kid through college she is in her junior year off of what I make and my wife makes. She goes to a private university where the tuition is more expensive than any other state college in Texas.I have been offered a dedicated route with JB Hunt making 1200 a week, home three nights a week plus every weekend off, turned it down because I like where im at.So don't go through life thinking your one up on someone till you know what their situation is personally. There is always gonna be someone making more than someone else just the facts of life

Just remember what you said. I work in the office at Van Buren. So if that's the case I must know the real story about your termination. You said it, I didn't. And why do you think I would like a part-time job like yours? I'm happy working 9 to 5 in the office remember? Weekends and Holidays off? Get real.

Its really hard to believe much of anything you say because it is always so negative and always just here, so you must be harboring a grudge against USA. If you quit you would be a lot happier where you are at and be telling everybody how great that place is, not how bad USA is.
