For everyone complaining about these fuel solutions, if you use a little common sense, just a little, you communicate with your FM and you and him/her can tweak it to match your route. It's not that bad. Just use some forward thinking. And if you think this is bad, try working for companies tat not only tell you where to fuel and how much to get, but also tell you the route you WILL take. And those companies aren't broke!! Take Celedon for example, coming out of Connecticut on 95 they wanted him to take the GWB. The rest of us on the road were going over the tappan zee bridge, I was going that way regardless but we heard how bad the back up was on the cross Bronx and the bridge. He said his goodbyes and had to pull on the shoulder to send a message and ask for permission to change from the GWB to the tappan zee. Really????? I'll just take the fuel solutions and #### myself. Keep it up and they will be telling up where to stop to eat/poop/sleep.

Well, we still aren't broke and are still off topic but since we want to talk fuel soltions and cost savings methods. Let's go for it.
Why in the world does any company feel they have to hold the hand of a veteran driver and tell him/her where to pick up fuel, what routes to take and such. Why not just be honest with the drivers and let them know what and where the discounts are and let them get fuel wherever as needed. Pay the driver a productivity bonus and cost reductions bonus and just wait and see what the drivers can and will save.
For those that don't, then put on the dog collar and lead them around. But it makes no sense to put us all in the same catagory when I know I usually save more than the fuel solutions program does. -
I agree with Retired Sarge, its really not that big a deal,i have not seen multiple fuel stops on a 300 mile run yet,my current load is 600 plus miles and has one fuel stop right on my route,my load up here had one fuel stop right on my route

I really would like to use the fuel solutions. I think it's a good idea and could potentially make my job easier but I'm not stopping 3 times for fuel within a 300 mile period with stops that add 60 - 100 miles to a trip or stops that are 800 - 900 miles apart when I have a fuel guage that dont work. I don't know why I'm having such horrible luck with the fuel solutions but my arm has not been twisted yet so I'm just going to keep using my own judgment for now.

Something I did find out from my travel agent. You are not non conforming if you skip a fuel stop. Only if you use one that was not listed in the fuel solutions. So, if you can skip the first one and make it to the next one ok. It does not count against you.

Micromanaging fuel stops is the most inefficient idea. Like those air faring contraptions on the back of some trailers. Its synonymous to me separating eating out to buying groceries in my personal budget. What matters is the bottom line. Fuel solutions is a result of a power trip.

If i budget 400 in groceries and spend 200 but spend 300 on eating out did i really do any good? Im sure everyone knows where im going.

USA STOCK IS UP OVER $13.30 from less than $2.50 earlier in the year. Those are the numbers you should be looking at. Keep watching and buying as it continues to go up, up, up..
Our miles are up, our manned trucks are up, our shops are open longer.. Night saw us recouping from bad management decisions and tried to keep a serious competitor down. But it was too late, just watch and see.
