You know it never ceases to amaze me how some people will when they have lost an argument or wanting to come off like they know it all start throwing that experience argument out. In this case you don't have to have been trucking very long at all to see the ugly underbelly of our profession, and what an ugly underbelly it has! Yes, I also start seeing warning lights when someone starts asking about drug testing especially the people that start asking (do they test hair). I actually am of the mind set that random testing is very close to being an unconstitutional infringement of people's 4th amendment right's. I have no problem with per cause testing and will even say maybe the pre employment testing is OK, but I hate this random crap. So understand where I am coming from when I say what I do about people asking questions. It is a warning tell about someone. I will say it again. If you desire to work in the trucking industry you MUST answer all the questions on that application honestly and if you have smoked reefer or took other drugs on that prohibited list make sure you have quit and have no plans to start back, and if you do please do all of the motoring public a favor and go flip burgers at Micky Dee's!!!!

Hmmmmm. I don;t think it is a question of who can drive. We are all thrust out here in hopes we will learn the ropes. A lot of people can drive trucks. They just can;t handle the life. You have to admit it's not like other jobs. The ones of us that did make it, I thought we got along pretty well. I still think we do. Heck 85% of the boneheads out there cant get passed the drug test.

The (driving) is not the issue. It's the attitude some drivers have while driving that is the issue in my opinion. You could train a monkey to (drive) a truck, but driving a CMV is just a small part of the job. A lot of drivers suck at decision making, are lazy and have horrible backing skills.

Why do the companies wait until you are at the orientation to do the employment verification/background check?

if you wanna make 500 bucks a week...Then USA is a good company for you...If you like being ripped from your hometime, then USA is a good company for you...If you like having driver managers who have no clue as far as driving a truck, The USA is right for you...If you like planners who just don't care about even coming into work and just throw freight at whatever, then USA is right for you...If you get a load done on time or early and you tell them in advance as to what your ETA is...and you don't get pre-assigned till that next following afternoon...Then USA is right for you...
All and All, This Company Sucks...:D

    Really?

Your going to necro a 5month old thread to complain?

    Wow....

Ummmm alot of drivers would disagree with just about everything you said. You sound like one of those drivers who cry and complain so much the the dm and planners just stop giving a crap about you. Is that the case?

Oh and where is the evidence of all these claims? Dont see a lot of people come on TTR with these complaints so I wanna know how it is 100% USA s fault your milage and checks sucked? How you did absolutly nothing wrong?

Im not saying its perfect here. USA has problems. But in two years ive not seen anything like you just described
