Again I am happy for you. Glad you found a home.
Thanks for a better clarification of the bad experience. Now I can see the issue you had better. It also is a better explaination than a blanket "USA SUCKS NO ONE SHOULD WORK FOR THEM". At least now we can see you bad time a little better. Sorry theu screwed you over and cost you hardships.
On the same token I have not had that expierience. Sounds like crappy DMs giving excuses for their bad performance.
As.for foul play on my part, not sure how you get that? I stated my facts. The things I have seen and heard. No more no less. Believe what you want. Say what you want. It is a free country. But as good or as bad as USA can be or is I can not let vague statements go with out some explaination. Again thanks for some.insight into your "bad" experience.
Now as far as drivers coming here goes, come.over or dont. Doesnt affect me either way. If the drivers dont come thats just more miles for me. So stay away. Lol. I do not carry the usa banner for the company. I just dont like vague statements or lies. Not everyone is going to have a good experience at every company in any career field. Thats just life. Its not always roses and unicorns for me here. But over two years its not been bad. If someone asks if they should gonto usa for their cdl and training I tell them there are worse companies out there and good luck at C1 and pray you get a decent trainer that cares. Its the same at all starter companies on that stuff. Some are worse than usa and some are better. I also tell them try to get a good working relationship with your DM. If yall butt heads go to their ops mgr and ask for a new one. If it keeps staying bad after twonor three DMs then either its the drivers attitude or his fit with the company. Same as anywhere.
USA is not special. They are not the end all be all of trucking by any.means. but they are decent for the majority of drivers. Most make a decent living and get along fine. Some good drivers fall thru the cracks and have it bad. Some bad drivers stay under the radar and never get canned. Same as any job in any career field.
Yes.donall the research you can before going to any job in any field. This is not a new concept. Truck drivers just tend to not do that as throughly as other career fields.
As far as families.go... most of the hardships in trucking is thentime a driver is away. Tight on money and/or behind in bills makes it worse.
I never feel like a prisoner here. The day I start feeling that way is the day my notice goes in.
As far as me making a living goes. Like.I said I have my bills paid early every month, money in savings, excellent credit, toys such as a motorcycle and four wheeler (paid for), house (paid for), etc. Yes some.of that was started well before I came to USA. But I.made.much less money then. I worked hard and sacrificed. I buget and never deviate. So the occasional bad week means nothing to.me. I drive 2000 miles the same as 3000 miles. Never sweating the bills or my finances.
Usa TRUCK orientation in two weeks. Got some questions.

Just my opinion but from southern shakers post I see a huge attitude problem. I am sure its not hard for dispatchers and load planners to see it either and I am sure it has a good bit to do why companies have not worked out.
Also the post talking about the truck going 130 miles an hour in my experience shows a lack of maturity and inexperience.
My truck goes 65 I am getting more than enough miles and I log legal.
I have found that drivers with bad attitudes will be starved out by companies until they quit many times. Sure seems to me that could be the problem.
Just my opinion though.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 26, 2014

YEAH, I make a lot more money in the company I am with now...And I have the most worst Attitude anyone's ever came across...you know it buddy!!
you've read this driver like a book, you must have a PHD in Psychology or something...so tell me, how is it you read Truck Drivers minds Doctor know it all and you Drive a Truck yourself? Shouldn't you be like having your own Psychology office or something? Maybe working for the State in human behavior?...
Its really a Joke on how you people judge a guy or girl's Attitude...and yet, not even know who they are..Leftnut Thanks this. -
No my wife is the one the one with the masters in psychology not me. Its your posts always with such an attitude. It doesnt take a psychologist to figure it out.
I drive a truck myself because I love it.
I dont have to judge, I am calling it as I see it. Every post with an attitude a bad one. Also how long have you been driving? Your experience level combined with your attitude is going to lead you to failure with most every company. Sorry man just being honest.
I do hope it works out for you at your newest company.
Also southern shaker its easy for me to see it because I used to be the same way at one time. I didnt say you wont get out there and run because that was never my problem either.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 26, 2014

Good for you Leftnut....How many more lies will you tell people just to get that recruiting incentive from USA?....LOL
Ive heard it all now!!
Thanks for trying to attack my attitude in all of this buddy... you people who play as company pets for USA really will do everything to cover up the real truth...
you'll say things like, Its not a bad company nor its a good company...but its trucking...
That's the biggest crap you can give a future driver to that place...
USA is being bought out by Knight Transportation simply because they have been losing accounts after accounts..And they wanna blame the drivers..
But yet weve all complained to them about faulty equipment, trailer landing gears needing to be greased and inspected and up to date..
oh wait, it wasn't even 2 weeks after I got hired on with them that they had their scale bypass permits suspended due to high CSA scores through DOT..
Now I will say one thing good about USA and i'll stop..I liked my Last Driver manager...he was really a cool guy, but he needs to grow some nads to his bosses though...But he was young and scared..and I don't blame him...I guess I was too when I started out as well...
The fact is This Company runs all over there Drivers, especially the young rookie ones trying to pay off a tuition for a year..Its why I spent my own money to get my CDL's and didn't go through a company to get them..Im contract free, but I know most of those people didn't have that luxury...and it saddens me to see a Trillion dollar industry treat young guys like dirt...Its why I speak up and yes you may say I have an Attitude problem on that part...
Cause I know those people are too scared to say anything cause they don't want anything written on their DAC...Pfft
and youre right, I do have an attitude problem...A problem of not having enough Drivers speaking out and saying hey...that's enough!!
We run the freight, we haul it, we control the economy, we create jobs and we create revenue for our bosses to have jobs and many others...
That's how important your job and my job is Leftnut... and if I have to run hard and bust the wind and break speed limits and what not to make sure I have a man feeding his family and being able to go to work...and him providing for his family then yes....I will break laws for him to have a job...and if the DOT and the Corporations want to slow me down to not provide for that man? Then I say to hell with your rules, and HOS...
Now will I run illegal all the time? no, I do run slow mostly...but if its freight that's needing to be there ASAP and Quickly..Then That Truck will be there...Or I die trying...
Im not a hero, nor am I claiming to be super Trucker.. But I do know the feeling of having a company shut down and losing all you've got because you were living paycheck to paycheck and couldn't feed your family...and its a pretty crappy feeling indeed...
I just wish you guys in the old days, would have stopped this when you had the chances too...
Made a Strike against them all...and took a stand where you were needed the most....
You've all hidden your balls Veterens...and believe it or not..I do commend and respect your experience but not your bravery at all...Last edited by a moderator: Jan 26, 2014

I drive for Alabama Motor Express and have never driven for USA Truck.
After the last post from you. Not only do you have a serious attitude problem that will result in you having a work history that is 100 pages long, I do not believe you should be on the road at all.
One year experience and yet you have it all figured out. Good luck because you are going to need it.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 26, 2014
