Its at Graham International. I am waiting on 8AM here to call them and touch base. I need to know if they will get it fixed today or not. If not I got to try to find a place that will accept a comcheck for me. I am almost broke, this $200 I spent on hotels this weekend has tapped me out.

I agree on the landing gear part. I have had some that was so hard to raise and lower I finally had to change gears into the slow gear. I have no idea what some of the females that drive for USA do with these hard to lower and raise landing gear. As far as the lights go I have yet to find one with a bad light, however when I was training we did get one with a missing light. I think the primary reason the landing gears are so messed up is because of all the yard dogs. I have seen them drop trailers before they even stop this has got to be bending them. Sit in a shipper/receiver and watch the people driving the yard dogs and you will see this. Just make sure you are watching from a safe place, because them guys will run over you.

lol you left out holes, sharp edges inside, flat tires, lights not only broken, but missing, ebs sensors on the fritz. The way they fix this is unplug the light fyi.
what good is scheduled trailer maintenance that you MUST travel out of route to have done? -
actually the automatic has pulling power. it surprised me the 9400i pulled awesome on the hills and from the green light in comparison to the pro start standard. the fact that once you hit the flats and could only go 58 to 62 mph was the issue
. go like hell up hill and down hill, bag the hell out and have all those trucks you passed going up fly on by lol. it is not the fact that it is an automatic causing the issues with the trucks though. it is the maintenance being done, plus all the emission stuff and all the "new" electronics being thrown into the trucks that are causing all the break downs.
not sure about other terminal shops, but at usa they have 2 licensed diesel mechanics, one for day shift one for night shift. the rest are trainees (paid less). which is why at vandalia terminal it takes 3 days to a week to get crap done. if you actually get it fixed. and not have something else broken on you instead. won't even bother telling you about their non existent truck inspections, but you get a new sticker every time

Campbells there in Paris usually have loads going out and don't seem to keep empty trailers empty for very long lol. I'll be in Tyler tomorrow

As I write this I am starting my 5th day of this breakdown. According to Graham International they are expecting to get me running today. I was correct about the ignition switch and they are expecting a replacement sometimes today. I hope you are right about loads coming out of here. I need to get a load going back east because I need to get home to take care of some legal stuff by Friday.

What an ignorant thing to say. Maybe you should think before you post comments like this as you may offend someone.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 18, 2011
