That reminds me of another spot. William's Arizona, park at the Loves, walk over downtown, take an old steam train to the Grand Canyon!

Dave, if you like fishing, you would absolutely love the Alaska Highway. Dozens of beautiful, completely private pull offs right next to wild rivers filled with fish.

I met another Landstar driver on that run, and he takes 10 days to do it and basically wastes a ton of time fishing all the creeks along the way. I saw him later that day in Yukon standing with the fishing rod halfway in a creek, rig parked in the woods on a little peninsula. Made me want to get into fishing myself.

I took a 10 hour break last year along Hwy 89 up behind Mt Shasta for a load heading to Reno. I always carry a couple fishing rods in my truck for emergencies like this. Parked along a river in a nice big pull off and there was no traffic anywhere, I was completely alone out there. Caught a half dozen huge German browns and a couple rainbows on my fly rod and had a great evening. I even had a black bear stop by and watch me for a while, but we kept our distance from each other.

There's not that many places I carry a piece.

But I'm not going to Alaska unarmed.

So I doubt I will ever go in a big truck.

No, no. You were supposed to plant the seeds, not smoke them.

Las Vegas. park at maverick truck stop 3225 n Las Vegas blvd. don’t stay any place near there just park there and eat there but neighborhood is not the best. You should also eat at Jerry’s nugget rent a car from Fox. My wife and I go 2 times a year and we are not big gamblers. All sorts of fun things to do In Nevada
