lolololol 0-1 year experience sounds about right.
The only people who hate truckers more than everyone else are other truckers.
I get more courtesy or 'respect' from four wheelers than I do from trucks and considering four wheeler courtesy is just about zero well....
This isn't anything new. It's been going on for at least as long as I've been around (12 years). These days I keep my head down, drive my truck as safely and efficiently as possible and just try to avoid truckers as much as I can because, frankly, it's not worth my time to deal with grown children who think it's okay to throw a tantrum and get somebody killed because they had to kick out of it for 15 seconds.

Disgusting behavior.
The only possible reason I can see for his anger is if you didn't indicate before coming over, or your indicator wasn't working on your trailer. This still doesn't justify the response, the Marten driver needs to be off the road - period.
He should have been able to see the truck entering the interstate, predict and act accordingly - indicators or not. -
if you don't send this in and at least do your part, besides posting here.... then what if this loser pulls the same crap and actually hurts or kills someone? Call safety and send the vid in.
Prime flatbed supertruckr and dog-c Thank this. -
I called their safety dept. and left a message with my name and number and a brief explanation of what happened. I also went to their website and sent emails.

If the Marten driver had any common sense, he would have seen the truck merging along side of you, and anticipated that you were going to move over a lane, and lifted off the throttle or moved over a lane themselves...if able to. But common sense is very rare these day. You did right by just backing down and letting him go.

After the first Marten truck the second one passes....two traveling together?
Drivers traveling together get to visiting and aren't always as alert as they
should be. Same as drivers on the phone, they get involved with their conversation
and forget to watch the traffic around them. Over the years I have seen many
close calls caused by drivers running together.Prime flatbed supertruckr and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
It just makes things a lot simpler especially in a slow trk.I know Prime is slow and people don't have patience for slow trks trying to get back over. Its best just to stay where you're at and let the ppl coming from the ramp out.I've always done that unless its some guy that don't know how to speed up as he enters the interstate then in that case i'll get over.

I picked this load up that same evening as a drop and hook. I pretripped the trailer and stopped 50 miles after departing shipper to re tighten my straps. I'm glad I did as this may have saved my load from shifting more that it did. I always use my turn signals every time. I do notice a lot of trucks don't use them for changing lanes, but I always do. I'm pretty new to trucking (2 years) and no means perfect but I do my best to be safe out here. I have kids that depend on me.77smartin, blairandgretchen, albert l and 4 others Thank this.

You are wrong. I work for a mega (Swift). If I did something like that I would be fired. No doubt in my mind. And I would deserve it.Crassius, Longarm, Hitman and 1 other person Thank this.

I'm saying where I'm at the prime drivers I've seen drive 47 mph on a 3am morning with very light traffic and if the speed limit is 65 and cut off another truck going 65 because you want to maintain 48 mph cruise control instead of slowing down to let the truck in the middle going 65 pass you so they can get their fuel bonus for getting 9mpg.
I'm not blaming him for getting brake checked, but like I said if you're going 49 mph in a 65 mph zone and you cut off a guy passing you at 65 then you deserve to get called names on the cb. Obviously you can't see everything from the dash cam, but if he's going around cutting people off in the situation I wrote out above then you're going to instigate a lot of road rage.
The reason why I didn't defend 100% the OP was because they're just like the Chicago container haulers when it comes to clogging up traffic. But if he's doing max speed and he had to move over to avoid collision then I defend OP wholeheartedly.
