My son runs a hot shot trucking co. He recently ran into a state trooper in Kentucky with a cop on his shoulder . stopped him for no tag on trailer, which holder had broken, he had tag in truck. Proceeded to write him about 9 citations for all kind of stuff. Is there any legal way to plead these down or help any way. I can pay the citations but concerned about it going on his record and insurance skyrocketing.

I'm sorry I dint. have the list where I am now. one was for an ipad mounted to dash to use navigation, one was for trailer tag not on trailer but in cab of truck, also he had a notebook/file he kept all relevant papers in and some one busted a window and stole that and other stuff, so he didn't have ins copy, or cdl info, tried to explain to officer didn't help. he was in process of getting that stuff but he was on the road.

So how long was his plate off the trailer, paperwork missing?

A police officer stopped a driver for speeding. "Can I see your driving license?" "I don’t have it, I had it removed because of point system." "Can I see your license for the vehicle?" "But it is not my car, I stole it." "Stole it?" "Right, let me think, I think I saw the permition before in the glove box when I put my gun in there." "There is a gun in the car?" "Yes sir, I put it right there, when I shot and killed the woman driving this car and then put the body back to the trunk." "There is a corpse in a car?" "Right, sir."
After all these he calls the police chief. And soon the car gets surrounded by police. The captain approaches the driver to handle the situation. "Sir, can I see your qualification?" "Of course, ultimately, there it is." "In fact, it’s OK, and to whom does the car belong to?" "It is mine, there is my license as well." "Could you open the glove box, is there a gun inside?" "Of course, take a look, there is nothing." "Do you mind opening the trunk too? They told me that you put a body in there." "No problem, take a look." "Empty too! But I do not understand, the officer who stopped you told us that you said that you did not have a driving license, that you stole the car, that you had a gun in the glove box and that there was a dead body in the trunk." "Oh right! I bet he also told you that I was driving wreckless and speeding!"JolliRoger, Sirscrapntruckalot, talltrucker61 and 7 others Thank this. -
I’d question the IPad mounted to the dash ticket..probably had something other than “navigation” running..porn maybe?
I have a Galaxy tablet mounted to my dash that is dedicated for my elog only. The elog main screen displays my HOS on the top half and navigation on the bottom half. This is what the officer sees when they jump up on my step to do their look see. It’s also required to be mounted in such a manner.
Perhaps he could get this one removed just by saying that the IPad is for his elog..but I suspect he had something else other than navigation up and running.
Mom, are you running his business or did he just come crying to Momma to pay for his screwups ? -
