How long on average do new drivers really have to wait on loads? Or is freight really that bad out in Arkansas?
It seems like they want to pretty much starve me to Family Dollar (Which I did for a month and felt like killing just about every loader in existance with every tote that fell on me.) I was temporary and now off that account and I have been sitting at a truck stop since Friday just waiting. Its now Monday afternoon, no load, just "We're working on it."
I understand that when on the training truck, the training truck will get alot better loads to get the students processed out, but I thought I proved myself that I can and want to run when I was blowing out my 11 each time I got behind the wheel.
I waited for 5 days after I got off my trainers truck to get my first load, then waited another 3 days after it got split before they told me to go to Family Dollar.
Im almost about to ask on the Qualcomm who I need to give a handy-j to to actually get rolling. I WANT to RUN.

My guess is they are quietly trying to force you into teaming or training.

No so quietly, I'd say.
Those wait times are unacceptable. IMHO, they're screwing you big time. -
Just got off the phone with my current FM, seems like I had a load this morning, but then they took it away. Another wasted day.
Glad this doesent seem normal. And I cant train, I'm not experienced enough OTR. Though my trainer actually put in my file "would be a great trainer." Making it hard to do my obligatory "6+ months" before looking for another company.
