NY Thruway System uses these, usually with a yuge F9000 for the very best in power and maneuverability. I usually linebacker these things against a swarm of cars, some of which have never encountered a twi 48 before He he he. What got me won over was these things got up and RAN back in the day.

Yes they ran it on the highway, late 70's. Most states were still 55' or 65' with doubles.

    903 Cummings 2600 rpm,

Great. 17% more Chinese made c**p that is going to be in a landfill in a month.

Stone winter commercial vans, versatile configurations available I think is the gist of this. I suspect Deusche is contaminated with a little danish in the morning over coffee.

Yes -, I've seen it before.

Nothing scares me more than blind loyalty to . . . anything, especially an employer (master).

It pleases me to see communities fight to keep the behemoth out of their area - and retain small business and diversity, not "17% less jobs".

I'll tease em, I'll pick em a little bit and so on. But I remember one required filing in 2008 in which Walmart would shut down everything when fuel reaches 14 dollars a gallon in bad scenarios.

I remember a town without a walmart once in my life, also without a internet once in my life. We grew up without these nice things once upon a time.

No doubt they will probably get longer. Arnold Transportation had 57 footers in the 90s but they could only run them across I10 in the south and across I80 in the north. When I first started driving, I started with a 40' x 96" trailer, then it went to 42' x 96", then 45' x 96", then 48' 102" then 53' 102". What was weird about it, companies were required to put 53' on the nose of the 53s but there was no such requirement for the 57s.
