Wal-Mart Gordonsville, VA. Also known as Zions Crossroads has those very same barriers and also call the local police(Louisa) to run truck driver's off there parking lot. Get this, The distribution center for Wal-Mart is right next to this store and will not allow driver's to stay at there center after or before delivery even though there is plenty of parking available. Thus causing trucks to park at the local store and on the exit ramps ultimately the problem with Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart itself.
Here's a solution Walmart....close the #### store and build a new one outside the city's reach. The city loses all sorts of revenue not only because Walmart isn't selling stuff, but less customer traffic for the surrounding businesses means less business for all.
There is not actually plenty of parking at the dc, but there is a truck stop same exit south side of 64.
Why would they allow parking at the DC? They dont owe you a place to park and they don't want to deal with the piss bottles and litter.
They should park this genius along the interstate. “ City officials argued that trucks parking in the lot reduced visibility and posed a safety risk for drivers. “ I see a large number of trucks on the highway posing a safety risk and reducing visibility. Every day.
Some of them do owe you a parking space. I’m delivering at a DC this week that allows long term parking. They’re the only business located on a dead end road. Yet the Sheriffs department takes time out of its busy day to write tickets for parking on said road. These ######## love waking drivers up at 2am and making them leave. The nearest parking is 60 miles away. It’s one of the few DC’s that won’t turn you away if you’re 2 hours early.
That Walmart I guess wasn’t zoned for that type of parking therefor all the trouble. All the Walmart’s I see around the MD and DE areas still have a ton of truck parking and RV parking.
