Yes I remember when we went from 48’s to 53’s and all the 53’s had the numbers on them. What I was referring to was that it was peculiar that the 59’s in Texas had no numbers back in the late 90’s early 2000’s. I hooked to one to take a load to Tennessee and only realized it was a 59 when I opened the doors to put my load locks in. Very likely was a Texas specific rule that they didn’t need to be marked back then. The 59’s are marked now, but the ones I hooked to were not back years ago.![]()

the added time of splitting them to back into docks makes it’s not profitable. They’ll probably just use them on corridor runsMartinFromBC Thanks this.

Takes maybe 5 minutes to split a super b and 5 minutes to hook it back up.
MartinFromBC and EvertonP Thank this. -
Takes a little more than that. There’s a reason why companies got away from that B train setup. Plus the infrastructure of having to buy and maintain 2 reefer units , another set of axles etc. like I said I can see this on the edm cal corridor, or even the Regina Saskatoon one.ProfessionalNoticer and MartinFromBC Thank this.

Unless you wear a ________ on your head. Then it takes 3 hours and hitting 17 parked cars. -
that was very unnecessary. But yes splitting trains in a parking lot isn’t a great idea

Watched a certain driver just trying to back in a single last month, hit 2 parked cars.
When they learn how to drive, nobody will have to say anything else.bzinger and JolliRoger Thank this. -
