Bombay Sapphire gin bottles are being recalled in Canada, and the reason has many people running to liquor stores to stock up! The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (also known as the Party Police) discovered that some bottles of Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin contained almost double the alcohol content that is listed on the bottle. According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the batch of bottles affected were bottled before being diluted to the proper 40 percent alcohol content by volume and, instead, came out with 77 percent.

The bottles have a product code of "L16304" and have since been removed from stores. Bacardi, the distributor of Bombay gin products, has asked customers with these bottles to return them as soon as possible.

If you picked up a 1.14-liter bottle of Bombay Sapphire London Dry Gin recently, you should definitely check the label, but we'll let you decide what to do next.

    Bottoms Up mutha*******!!!lol:occasion5:

This reminds of the debacle with Four Loko. (A.k.a "Blackout in a can"!)The stuff is actually BANNED in Massachusetts because of incidents involving people (mostly youngins) who pass out after drinking the stuff. The alcohol content in one can apparently is the equivalent to drinking 4 beers.

I thought 'yes!' - then said 'no'. Gin is.... not my flavor.

@mjd4277 - Four Loko is basically canned and diluted cough syrup, water + Liquid Benadryl. It'll F you up, but, Gah! is it disgusting. I can only imagine the hangover from all the extra sugar in it.... *cringe*

Only 77 percent? You can buy STROH Rum in Austria with 80 percent alcohol content by volume :)

Everclear? And i don't mean the ####ty band. It'll be a race between your eyes and kidneys: which stops working first.

Illogical, yes I know. But that half a point is enough to make it legal. I say more power to them. :laughing6:

The AR-15 rifle here is another prime example. Those with heavy barrels are exempted from the ban.
