Due to the actions of others, all food and drink items must be paid for BEFORE consumption.

    Thank you in advance.

I used to work in a grocery store and would retrieve all sorts of packaging of items consumed in store, unpaid for.

Learn the lesson. The actions of the 10% have ruined it for the rest of us.

If someone accuses you...the burden of proof is on them,

Be prepared to remain calm at all times and call the police or sheriff

if you sense people are becoming aggressive.

    (Also it's Tennessee,but that's another thread all together ) :biggrin_2559:

As I read....the reaction is being gauged and not the initial action. I'm not defending either side, just offering a possible explanation......

Theft: by employee or customer is big, large and expensive. Many merchants force employees to pay for missing goods especially in mom and pop gigs and more theft does occur at night rather than daytime. A $1.69 Pepsi is a lot of money to a clerk making $7.50 an hour for a few hours a week..... think about it. Clerk has this, a second job, doesn't want to be there but has too and maybe the boss just cut his check for theft last week. An open wound that's already sore.......maybe?

Was he really reading data plates vs stealing a Pepsi? Probably so..... but I would consider that strange behavior too.

To the OP: Geeze man, get a book. Love refrigeration do you? Great, so do I , hold the license to boot. Very cool stuff changing gasses to liquids and back, different properties of refrigerants etc. but I doubt this guy has the latest and greatest stuff. Prolly some old R-12 relics spinning his electric meter like a spaceship.....

Read this: Big players like Walmart and major grocery chains use the heat collected off the store to heat their hot water......now that's a system.....get the specs on that. Or write a paper on why I would want R-502 instead of Ammonia ......

Lastly..there's a lot more money in someone's attic or at the Thermo king dealership than behind the wheel and you're still young enough.....so get to reading !!!

But this ain't Russia. It's supposed to be America. If a guy want to read refrigerator tags or the ingredients on packages of Ho-Ho's, who cares? Just saying...

Thanks all of you who have defended me against what happened. I mean, I even told the guy who first cornered me and began harassing me about my refrigeration interest, and began rattling off refrigerant type, charge, discharge and suction pressures, compressor data, and he just gave me a stupid look like he obviously didn't have a clue what I was even talking about. I am looking into getting books on refrigeration and teaching myself, then going for the EPA universal certification on my own, or going to a tech school that offers it. And yes, I love everything about Thermo King, and aspire to work there someday. We do pull a reefer too, and I've already checked out its insides. By the way, I'm not from Russia, either. I'm Ukrainian. And us Ukrainians can't stand Russia and their opressive ways. And we all absolutely hate that criminal Putin. But this is diverging from the thread. If you'd like to know more about Ukraines beef with Russia, just send me a message and I'd be happy to explain.

You all are forgetting one thing. This 2014 folks who go around doing odd or weird things especially reading hvac tags not once but twice causes a red flag and possibility flagging u as a terrorist or a threat. Then u spew a foreign language all signs your some type of threat.

Someone pops my hood at 3am, the first thing I'm gonna do is outright demand they stop laughing at my tiny little Mercedes motor! Dang thing gives me enough problems now, I'd hate to see what a pain in the tail it would be if it developed poor self image issues!

The hell is wrong with you.

That's all right, I've done weirder things. I once had sex for the sole purpose of procreation.
