I'm not an old hand, but this behavior seems to have gotten worse over my time.

Even you were NOT taught to move up, common sense would tell you to be nice and do it.

And just in case you have no common sense, the pumps at Pilot and Flying J tell you to do so.

There's a thread where this driver says she has to take her 30 min break on a fuel island!!! Because she can't find anywhere else to sit!!! How pathetic, how messed up, how irritating is that! Or waiting forever while some tool visits the bathroom, orders a meal, shops, finally comes out, eats a few bites, updates his paper, eventually starts up and leaves? Man.

    Pmracing and Raiderfanatic Thank this.

I dunno, sometimes I think we just get "grumpier" as we get older. . .
Sounds like good advice in general!:yes2557::biggrin_2559:

No you were not taught wrong. If you think about it, pulling forward after fueling has nothing to do with driving and everything to do with common courtesy. Which is severely lacking in the trucking industry. Yes pull forward after fueling, if your going to take longer than it takes you to fuel getting your to go items, pull forward and park.

If somebody is passing you, turn your lights OFF to let them know they can safely get over. DO NOT flash your high beams. If you can't do that do nothing at all.

If you pee in a bottle. DO NOT throw the bottle out on the ground. Empty the contents in the woods or desert and dispose of the bottle properly.

DO NOT throw your cigarette butts out of your window at any time. Put them out in an ashtray and dispose of them properly.

If you have to pee in the ####### RAISE THE LID. Wipe the rim off and WASH YOUR HANDS.

I could go on and on but it all comes down to common courtesy. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I flipped on a fatty today doing that. Was behind him and I'm not one to back up and re position if don't need too. He did his card junk on pump, started pumping, stood there looking like a fat slob, finished pumping then said I'm gonna clean my windows check my fluids go check my tires then went back to truck and sat there doing paperwork. I really hate idiots and fat super truckers.
