I got stopped by an AR state trooper in February after i trade dodge in for 22 ford focus, paper tag good for 2 months from date of purchase, in a ziplock bag, dealer put it on.
Taking dad to see his surgeon for checkup after surgery, a trooper pulled me over, for 65 mph in a 70, because the paper tag flipped up, so a warning for improper tag placement, then told me i NEEDED to go get tags and pay the sales tax so I wouldn’t get stopped again in the future.
With still 1.5 months til it was legally required, and i’d been passed by everyone but walmart/and swift, but we had plenty of time and all we were going to do is wait in reception for dr to get ton to see us,(usually 30 minutes after appointment)

And i realize the laws, but the police did stand and deliver notices, and were standing there “incase someone got mad hey we’re being forced to move after over 20 years of owning the land” so they could “enforce the laws and ensure the safety” ie shoot back if someone’s tried to defend their property.

I was brought up to respect law enforcement, i used too, But i’ve had several just with me over step their bounds, once in Indiana on 70, till he seen my dash camera and asked if it was on, i told him to notice the red light, then he told me to have a nice day and be safe, after yelling at me for moving over for a guy changing a tire on shoulder because i “slowed him down in left lane thus impeded traffic” though he was 1/2 mile behind, although he was driving fast, he had no lights on thus just abusing authority.

Civil forfeiture is a lot bigger problem than eminent domain. That's the one where they take your stuff and don't charge you with a crime and you have to sue them in court to get it back. Usually costing you $15,000 or more which you do not get back when you get your money back.
