Very true, a detailed program within the forum would take a lot of programming.

I have an idea for a simple solution. One folder/topic of "where are you tonight" with 50 sticky threads - one for each state. No programming or site revamping required. Just go to your current state and read the postings to see who's currently in the state and their location.

In years gone by, whenever the subject of identifiable attire that associates those wearing distinctive T-shirts and baseball caps with the best of the best Big truck truckin' related websites on the internet, is brought up for discussion and consideration, the conversations seemed to indicate an interest in such a prospect. I envisioned the venture from an advertising point of view to spread the word to those not yet aware that this source of information and entertainment is available to them 24/7/365. Posters who wear the attire would, in essence, become walkin' billboards able to communicate vocally with those curious enough to ask for more detail, and for those less inclined to voice their questions, a web address to explore for themselves at their leisure. What they experience here is what will cause them to return again and again just like it did for many of us who now regularly haunt these threads. It won't take long for them to become hooked on what the dedicated Powers That Be The Truckers' Report have created. No hard-sell tactics would be necessary as TTR easily sells itself. Perhaps the displaying of TTR colors would be more of a Public Service Announcement, rather than advertising. However one classifies it, the results would be the same, --- an increase in viewers, readers, and participants in the various forums with a variety of subjects to choose from.

Unfortunately, every silver cloud contains a dark lining. In this case, coordinating the acquisition of the attire and the distribution of same would likely create an 80,000 pound headache for those tasked with makin' it all happen, ergo the reluctance to becoming involved with such a time and energy consumin' project.

Now, that right thar is a classic example of a TTR member who is aware of what's available to inquiring minds that log on here, as well as those, like me, who tend to be as mindless as a bump on a log, --- all havin' more fun than a human bein' should be allowed to have, ..... on a regular basis.
    ThanX Bumpy! :salute:
    Ya got me thinkin' amigo.
    :smt045
Lemmie run my thoughts up the flagpole to see who salutes as I bounce those same thoughts off the wall.

Would it be feasible to come up with an official logo design agreeable to those interested, that The Powers That Be would grant permission to incorporate into ball caps, T-shirts and "Bumpy" Stickers? "Bumpy" Stickers may not be allowed, or be practical for application on company Big trucks and/or the semi trailers they pull, but, I'm thinkin' there'd be personal vehicles with bumper space that would perfectly frame a TTR "Bumpy" Sticker, --- and might even increase their vehicle's value.

Each TTR member interested in TTR attire would have access to the official TTR logo and colors to provide the company of their choice for makin' a dream become reality, --- thereby releasing those who put this show on from any additional demand on their time. Those seekin' fellow TTR posters in their vicinity could do a quick scan for anyone wearin' TTR colors, even in a crowd. From there a new friend is only an introduction away. They'd never be at a loss for material to discuss. 'Bout the only potential problem I can imagine is keepin' track of time and the ability to end a conversation when it's time to roll-on outta thar.

Would any TTR members be inclined to foot the bill for the cost, in dollars and time, associated with creating the desired attire?
    Who knows?
    :dontknow:
It might be interestin' to find out though.
    Ya reckon.

Like my camaro club, we have stickers/decals on the cars. Show what club we came from. Wearing caps/hats seem a good idea

I'm not sure either, but it sort of looks like Shakey is volunteering to get a bunch of T shirts, hats and bumper stickers made up, and then to send them out no charge, to whom-so-ever want them!:biggrin_2559:

Just a black baseball cap with T.T.R. in white letters on the front and in small print The Truckers Report on the back of it. Time allowing and if I can find a place to do this-will post pic...
