I'm not sure about scales closing. I've seen Oklahoma open up too in recent years. Tennessee is upgrading theirs. Missouri, North Carolina, Mississippi, will be open when you least expect it. I even crossed a scale on Christmas day in Kentucky!!!! I could not believe they were open. It was the one on I-65 going NB

It’s not that bad. What messes with everybody on that bridge is that your up on top for a longer period of time AND you can look over and see the other span. That’s what you have to try to lear not to do.whoopNride Thanks this. -

3 inspections in a week. Watched the cameras pick up licenses plates, code green, yellow, red. Then DOT officers take action. Yellow is inspect if can, red means no bypass without inspection. Your company CSA score drives the system.
Even had a bypass lane red light in KY due to the system. 2nd DOT in same day. So research the company your thinking of driving for well. It will save you lots of headaches.
The ELD has made me decide no more fun driving. Not racing a clock everyday and stressing to do this.jon69 and whoopNride Thank this. -
Worst are upstate NY & off turnpike OH. They hide in rest stops, which is real inconvenient when you've spent the last hour planning on a bathroom stop only to find yourself risking a bear trap.Big_D409 Thanks this.
