Well it felt good to get behind the wheel again.

They might give you a new truck. I cracked a fairing my first week solo with them; I’d been given a 450k mi maroon maverick one (Kllm bought their refrigerated division). I spent my first week getting terrible sleep; the trk had a battery hvac system which I couldn’t figure out, as well as other issues.

My second week was spent with the trk in and out of shop. I had just returned to yard from shop with trk… only to determine it still had issues and was told to take it back to shop… I checked in with local dispatch to let him know what was up.

Instead he said if I was ready to work, to choose one from this list he had… they were all brand new trks. Our local dispatch can dispense trucks when corporate is out, it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I chose the one with the most miles (about 1000) and was off with it in less than 3hrs.
