I’m curious what the new normal weekly gross is nowadays with these low rates and higher operating cost?

About 4k, down from 7k a mere 3 months ago. My easy money run south fell apart on me and I'm still staggering around like a drunk trying to find my ### with both hands and a net.

I have heard at my company that I work for. The OOs are getting 68% of 5500 to 6000, doing flat.

It’s bad out there and to top it off I moved back to Texas from North Dakota and my insurance quotes were insane compared to what I was paying last year in Texas. No changes on my part but the quotes where $20-$30k and for local work within a 100 mile radius.Luckily Great West came in at $14k even though I was at $8900 the previous year with Progressive smh.

I’m around 7k. Got a quote to add a o/o to pull one of my reefers. 48k for him and I. Progressive mid policy change. He ended up backing out and I was kinda glad.
Switching back to great west and it will be 28k for o/o and I plus two reefers.

It’s crazy to get penalized so hard for a mid policy change. Drivers get added and dropped, same for equipment. Logistics is dynamic.

Big accident payments are a problem. Aka nuclear verdicts.

My agent spoke about lots of guys getting into reefer with older equipment and causing claims. I guess it gets passed around…
