So, I came across an interesting job opportunity in my Indeed feed, but the pay seems low to me. It’s liquid bulk, out and back runs from Houston to Canada for Trimac. I know Trimac does mostly food grade, but I think they do chemical now as well. Thing is pay is 62 cpm loaded, 58 empty. Seems low to me since I’m doing dry van/reefer now at 47 cpm plus 10 cpm per diem. Any thoughts? Yes, I have a passport. Yes, I’m eligible to enter Canada. Yes, I have tanker and hazmat (with experience in both). Just heading off some questions.
What’s a respectable cpm for tanker these days?

If you have tanker and hazmat, not sure why you aren't looking for a local tanker job to haul fuel instead.

I think you're confusing companies. Trimac has always been more industrial chemicals than anything, until they started diversifying into fuel, dry bulk, and several others and their pay is notoriously low and their trucks are run into the ground. I didnt even know they did food grade. They used to be halfway decent back in the day, but the company today, doesn't hold a candle to what it was yesteryear. I just went through their website and thought I was looking at 2012 wages. Screw that.
