    Yeah dude if I decided to go back OTR I could get a job tomorrow. I just know I’ll hate it. But desperation may pull me there. It’s just crazy how hard it is to find local work right now. Like I said I never struggled before like I am now

    It's not Florida. It's the whole country. Many of these places aren't really hiring. Some are just stacking applications. Some jobs are straight up fake. I believe most are just looking to get the cheapest they can find but the best possible replacement for their higher paid existing employees.

    Yeah - get the hazmat endorsement, try Loves/Gemini. You can sign up and get their updates on tanker driver positions - all local, home nightly, decent pay and benefits.

    I talked to a driver here in town and actually signed up to see - I'd take a job with them if things turned south with the current O/O situation, or for health insurance.

    I've never hauled fuel, but I had a driver at the Petro show me how it worked while I was hanging out. Not that hard.

    Stinks you're having trouble with 20 years in. Good luck - keep us posted.
