The week started off bad. How guys back in so easy at some of these truck stops amazes me. I showed up at the Flying J in KC Monday afternoon and took me forever to get backed in. When I did, I felt like I was a lottery winner and doofus all rolled into one. lol:biggrin_2556:

The next morning, I had to be at Proctor and Gamble with a load of salt at 530 am. I get there, first time ever, and check in. Figure out the area I have to go to and wait around for an employee to come out get my paperwork, etc... Finally someone comes out and she's pretty hot so of course I forget that I'm disgusted at how long I've waited. So she's gonna back me in the spot so I can unload. It was a tight spot and dark. Once I was getting close, I thought I should jump out and take a look. But the lady hollars come on back and so I'm like okay. Not two seconds later, she is yelling at me to stop as I feel something that is not right. Turns out she backed me into a guardrail. I kicked myself for not trusting myself and getting out to look. She was laughing saying how she forgot to look at the ground as she was looking up to make sure I would clear the height. No serious damage as it just bent the fender on the trailer. BUT still.....

So I unload and get dispatched to wash out in Joplin, MO and load up with sugar at Neosho, MO. I turned out getting there at 4 and didn't leave until almost midnight. Wow.....they load my trailer with 48000 pounds of sugar via 110 pound bags. You have to be kidding me. Oh well....6 hours detention.

So I drive all night, til almost five am, and am heading to Abilene, KS. I stop just outside of Topeka on 70. Wife texts me at 830, which I was sleeping. I decided to jump up and get going. I got a flat. lmao Hour and half later, I'm rolling.

Get to Russell Stover Candy around noon and the unloader is out to lunch. No big deal, I'll catch a quick nap. But some lady comes out and says I'm going to get set up and be ready for "her partner" when he comes back. Cool. So I'm backing into this spot. At her direction. Only time I've bottom dumped so this is all knew for me. Since I've been doing pneumatics I've always blown it off. I see in the mirror some ramps I have to put the trailer tires on. But backing into the dark from light is a pain. But it's just a straight back in, no big deal. I'm watching the lady and all of the sudden, BANG. I'm like WTF??? I jump out and she had let me smack a small wall. I asked her why she didnt stop me? Her response....you need to be all the way back here.....lmao....:biggrin_25524: But there is a concrete wall there :biggrin_25510: She said but you still have to be back here.

Again, it didn't hurt anything but cosmetically. But never again will I let anyone back me into anything. I will get out and look, I don't care what or where it is......especially if its a woman. lmao :biggrin_2559:

The good news is when I left Russell Stover I got enough chocolate candy to start my own business. lol They gave me 5 boxes of candy, two of them huge boxes. lol Plus I got to come home as I load up at Cargill tomorrow. So things are turning around.
