I would of never touched a company without at least layover-pay. I would of still avoided LTL and P&D, though.. I would of bought land for cash instead of doing a thirty-year fixed on a house..

My first 10 years was at a LTL and I didn't like them even with hiring standards.. I hear LTL terminals are basically the thunder-dome now even at ABF and UPS..

If I could go back in time, I would have sold most of my stuff and got stock in Amazon.

Wasn’t that “bitcoin” I keep hearing about 30 cents each once upon a time?

It will be again if they hack into it a few more times.

LTL drivers make twice as much as NON-LTL OTR drivers.

    1. Cook my own food in the truck
    2. Get regular dental checkups, don’t wait for the pain. Dental pain on the road is a B.
    3. Run hard for longer periods, but take longer home time off.
    4. SAVE my money cause I am not doing this forever
    5. RESEARCH who you’re gonna drive for!
    6. At the end of your shift, get off the truck a few hours, get out of that seat
    7. Always expect the unexpected it WILL happen.
    8. When you meet a good person , driver you click with etc out here on the road, get their contact. Meeting good people is far and few between on the road.
    9. Consistently get at least 6-7 hours of sleep.

After getting your experience get on with a good LTL company and stay there.

I’d say don’t be a dumb ***. Be a weather man, get paid to be wrong and guess what the weather is gonna be. Lol.

Sage advice I heard from an old man. “If I was as bad at my job as that guy is at his, I’d be fired!”
