My way of seeing it is if you are already known to make practical miles, than by all means I would make a fuss as they might be testing the waters to see how far they can rip you off. If you already know your paid PC short, well it makes no difference how much of a fuss you make,you're not getting it.
A lot of the major fleets pay PC short.

Well,checked it and they paid me for some local road which is indeed 30 miles shorter (but takes 4 min longer) than the interstate I took.I still had to take interstate because I needed fuel and I can't fuel wherever I want to but in all fairness I guess I can't complain as I could have fueled earlier.

Good friend of mine whenever he cleans his car, he tosses the change on the ground. Watched him build a little pile over time, finally asked what gives with this, he said he has no use for change. I started picking up the change after that.

How bout my company.
They will send me the shortest route even if it means them paying $100 in tolls instead of paying me an extra 50-100 miles -

30 miles on a 2200 mile trip. It should be more than that. -
I wouldn't as I feel I deserve more money anyway.

Not necessarily. PC short from small town to small town could easily have him only 30 miles short.
