#1 is a load of crap. Been local for over a decade now and the only time I'm running on little or no sleep is when I chose to stay up late. Otherwise, I'm off for at least 10 hours here at home (usually 12-14)...plenty of time to be properly rested before hitting the road again.

You’re right, I should have qualified that first statement. If you have two small kids and work local like my situation, you get less sleep than if you were OTR while still running OTR miles. Sure wasn’t a load of crap today, 600 miles and three stops on less rest than I would like but I had 300 miles to my first stop and an 8 am appt.Last edited: Jan 23, 2018
