I'll be honest. I don't get wearing flip flops at all. When I go to the beach I wore loafers. Just never been into them.

I have a pair of these. I also prefer slip on, it's way too much trouble to lace up boots every time getting in and out of sleeper, which could be frequently on occasion at a shipper or receiver.

I presently have these, which are slip on and waterproof:

I have been wearing shorts and sneakers all summer. I'll go back to jeans and boots once it cools off.

Teny Lamas were awesome! Getting harder and harder to find 'em, though.

X2. I always have my boots with me just in case, pulling a van you can get away with sneakers. Dickies makes really good work shorts

I just got two pairs of boots at an Orscheln farm store with a good discount. One was Ariat (I think it is this one, or very similar anyway). The other was this Durango boot.

The best thing to do is figure out what you need for the job you have and then spend the money necessary to get that. I need slip resistant soles because I'm on snow and ice a lot. (Also have slip on creepers for straight ice. Very handy when squeezing between trailers in Wyoming in February.) I like oil resistant soles because there's always diesel spilled somewhere I'm going to be walking.

Altogether I have four pairs of pull-on boots that I rotate, plus a very nice pair of lace up boots with metatarsal guards that a previous employer paid for as an emergency backup. I don't like laces so I don't wear those often.

Some brands are more comfortable than others, but most will wear in to fit your feet in a few wears. I'm not picky. I like Durango and Ariat a lot, but I've had most of the major brands at some point. I've still got some Redwings I bought in the 80s that are in good shape -- because those are the boots that taught me that I hate laces lol.
