The store in question is a neighborhood Walmart in garden city Idaho. It's in a shopping center. There's a post office right behind the store where you are supposed to come around. The post office has a fenced area where all their delivery vans are parked. You have to manuver around the fence on your left, with the curb on your right. And if your tandems aren't all the way forward you cannot make the turn. I didn't know that at the time and had my tandems a quarter back. I saw in my mirror my trailer wasn't going to clear the fence. So instead of stopping and realizing my error, I turned to the right thinking I could get enough room around. But instead hit the curb with my steer tire and then lodging it in the gravel. I wasn't going that fast 10mph tops but it happened fast. Either way I learned my lesson. That whole Walmart setup is screwed up. After clearing the post office you then have to pull out in front of 4 lanes of traffic on a major road and back into a narrow dock. I was pretty inexperienced at the time. But after getting pulled out of the gravel I still was able to make my delivery lol.

I was speaking to an HR type (non-trucking company) about this very question a while back. We were having dinner so the conversation was light-hearted and we talked about many other things. One thing she said was if it's the truth and it's a work-related piece of information generally speaking we can disclose it. Case in point. That company has a strict no dating other employees policy. Get fired for a violation she will report the reason as violated company policy and require a signed release to say what said the violation was. With carriers, generally speaking during the hiring process they are going to get you to sign a release that gives them legal access to this information. One final point. There are a lot of people on this site that hold legal degrees from places like TA and flying J schools of law. I will just direct you to the text of part 391 subpart C. Furthur if you have a medical condition that has a direct effect on your ability to safely operate a CMV you CAN NOT hide behind HIPPA. HIPPA is NOT ironclad across the board, there are some exceptions!

I’m going to quit jumping those curbs with my steer. Sometimes it just can’t be avoided. I turn straight into them, so not to damage my steer.
