They offered me $19.50 per hr to start but no overtime until 55 hours , P&D work . They don't have direct deposit either and their health care is on the high side ( if you need that)

I wouldn't mind doing linehaul with them as I know guys that make good money but then look at those trailers you have to pull on the road and deal with AZ CA and NM state troopers ; yikes

If you're a w-2 employee. How can they start OT at anything other than 40 hours?

It seems to vary state to state and Central is not the only LTL company that does that . Old Dominion is 60 hours (or used to be) SAIA was 45

    I know Yrc pays after 8/ 40

I guess transportation labor laws are different

If what you have achieved were easy everyone would have done it. Thankfully it isn’t easy and those who can do the hard work often are rewarded.

That they pay OT at all is good. My company doesn’t. So 40 or 60 hours, it’s all straight time. Sucks.

I had to double check this post to make sure I wasn't the one who wrote it.

2.5 years experience and no LTLs would touch me. The 2 terminal managers that actually took my calls said flat out they don't hire OTR guys because they find local work too hard and quit soon after starting. o_O

Central still sends me emails informing of open positions. I can't recall what came over me when I applied there as at no time have I wanted to work for them. Must have been bored.
