Workers compensation can't be discriminated against. If an employer told me that, I'd refuse to work there. I get it, There are idiots who milk the system. Anyone who alluded to impropriety on my part, doesn't deserve my labor. I'll never enter the industry begging for an opportunity, because my record is perfect. I

Cryogenics is a crazy animal to deal with. Constantly adjusting the top and bottom fills is a masterpiece of mental mind screwing that will keep you on your toes far harder than letting compartments of 87 octane flow, making sure you're not dropping diesel down the regular hole... with cryogenics, everything is fogging up on cool nights. And venting a fully pressurized LIN tanker after delivery... glorious. It instills terror in nearby spectators. AT that gig, We made nearly 36 an hour before things went sideways. An act of God happened, as it were, and that's water under the bridge to some extent. If I don't drive this truck, I'm looking at throwing a few good men in it, who could use an opportunity.

Let's get down to brass tacks. Anybody know of any outfits that permit cryogenic subhaulers?

Lot of facial similarities in that picture......

Might as well just wear t-shirts that say "Chicago 1099" on them.

I've seen O/O tractors pulling KAG Merchant Gases Division cryo trailers.

    I have no other information.

If you're asking what I think you're asking, you might check these out:

    • Kenan Advantage Group (their "Merchant Gas" division)
    • Southern Pines Trucking
    • Genox
    • LGT Transport

What are you calling a sub hauler? Like leasing onto a motor carrier? Or having your own authority and $5mil hazmat policy and your own trailer and trying to pick up leftover work that nobody wants? Because you mention California and there’s that whole AB5 thing going on.

KAG, Williams and Henner are companies that I know hire O/O's. I think I might have seen an O/O pulling for Alliance the other day too. Won't cost anything to call and ask.

I have a friend who has over 10 years in for one of the above companies and does very well. I will note that he is a true old school professional, works his ### off and earns every nickel.

I do know of one more company, I'm withholding their name in case the demise of the cannabis industry totally destroys my cryo driving job, I'll bite the bullet, buy one last truck and retire as an O/O

Doug Henner is a great dude, I've interviewed with him and his little dogs one time. But that was many moons ago. So Henner does subhaulers eh? I'm just insane enough to consider getting insured out the derriere, buying a fuel tanker of the highest caliber, and running a tanker. I have zero idea how the business works, but was considering hiring my brother in law to deliver fuel with me. I figure I can do the night shift, he can do the day shift. That plan sounds grandiose, but a behemouth of a carrier, Williams Tank Lines, got their start like that. Good old Mike Williams said he ran one shift, another dude ran the other shift, and the truck ran 24/7 with him putting in work-- and that turned a profit. These days, who knows, but I'm glad Henner deals with subhaulers.
